{"id":16,"date":"2010-10-28T11:28:39","date_gmt":"2010-10-28T09:28:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/diveroo.com\/tempsite\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2024-01-08T18:51:22","modified_gmt":"2024-01-08T16:51:22","slug":"english","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/the-engagement.org\/?page_id=16","title":{"rendered":"English"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Palestinians of Jewish Origin higher resolution\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IQCr7GaVMWA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/L1gLziSsIe4\">For subtitles in Spanish<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">In the 20th Century the clash of civilizations started mainly in the Holy Land.<br \/>\n&#8211; The clashing parties that came face-to-face, were:<br \/>\nOn the one side, the western culture (Judeo-Christian), represented<br \/>\nby Jews who had been refugees for close to two thousand years<br \/>\nand returned to their homeland, and on the other side,<br \/>\nthe Middle Eastern culture (Arab-Muslim), that had ruled the<br \/>\nMiddle East for an extended period \u2013 represented by Palestinians.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This was a very deep and intensive encounter between the two cultures.<br \/>\nThe success of the state of Israel brought a clear mirror to the front of the face<br \/>\nof the quite dormant giant Middle Eastern culture. This helped create,<br \/>\nin the 21st century, the &quot;Arab spring&quot;, resulting with a very significant widening<br \/>\nof the clash, to an extent where the original conflict was put into the shadow.<br \/>\nThe widened conflict has unfortunately taken a very violent path<br \/>\nthat today presents serious perils to humanity as a whole.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">If one tries to focus back for a while on the original still unresolved conflict,<br \/>\nit is an outstanding fact that most of the energies of those involved emotionally<br \/>\nor practically in the conflict, are invested in hostile clashes,<br \/>\nmutual recriminations, self-protection and self-justifications.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">After about 70 years of violence in the course of the Israeli-Palestinian national conflict<br \/>\n(1920-1991),the two sides have experienced close to 30 years of negotiations,<br \/>\nparallel to ongoing violence. The only thing that these negotiations have achieved<br \/>\nis an intensification of the the suffering of both sides.In light of this reality,<br \/>\nall those who believe in continuing with the direction set forth by negotiations \u2013<br \/>\na Two-State Solution, must answer the question \u2013 How many additional casualties,<br \/>\nwhat higher level of suffering and how many new refugees are necessary,<br \/>\nin order to understand that this path should be abandoned?<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">In contrast, those who are objecting to the above solution need to suggest<br \/>\nan alternative that will provide the sides with a better future:<\/h3>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The only way to arrive at a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,<br \/>\na solution that will make it possible to channel all the energies and resources<br \/>\ninvested today in the conflict and re-direct them towards rehabilitation,<br \/>\ndevelopment and prosperity, is an out of the box solution.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This requires the sides to get high enough above the conflicting narratives<br \/>\nto view the conflict in a better perspective that is enabled by examining<br \/>\nthe long-term history of the Holy Land. Only from this perspective can one<br \/>\nsee the real roots of the conflict. Only on the basis of the genuine roots of the conflict,<br \/>\ncan one build a creative, just and lasting peace in the Holy Land.<br \/>\nMoreover, from such a better-informed perspective,<br \/>\nit is possible to create a common ground for a Jewish-Christian-Muslim Culture<br \/>\nthat can move humankind forward towards unprecedented prosperity!<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The Alternative solution &#8211; The Engagement:<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">As the idea of a bi-national state, that is suggested as\u00a0the alternative for the<br \/>\ntwo-state solution, proved itself as problematic in other places,\u00a0the remaining solution<br \/>\nis a very surprising one that initially may appear as an unprecedented fantasy &#8211;<br \/>\nthe engagement of the parties to the conflict to a single nation.<br \/>\nThis amazing idea, that is\u00a0presumably very naive and\u00a0chance-less,<br \/>\nis supported by a series of studies about the identity of the Palestinians<br \/>\nas detailed further on.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The sharp deterioration that the Palestinian leadership brought upon the Palestinian public, including the situation of many of its most dedicated people,<br \/>\ncombined with the high level of corruption that is attributed to this leadership<br \/>\nand with the phenomena of the Arab spring,<br \/>\nall contrasted by the background of Israel being a regional island of freedom,<br \/>\nprosperity and stability, prepare the ground for the Palestinian public to the<br \/>\nrealization of the proposed solution. However, these are insufficient enablers<br \/>\nfor the proposed solution, definitely for the Jewish side.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Here is where the said series of studies \u00a0get into the picture.<br \/>\nA very large anthropological study, including various \u00a0genetic studies,<br \/>\na demographic-historical research and a historical-geographical one<br \/>\nwere published in the 21st century and are detialed in the book<br \/>\n&quot;Brother shall not Lift Sword Against Brother&quot;.<br \/>\nAll these studies reinforce an earlier work of David Ben-Gurion<br \/>\n(the first prime minister of Israel) and others, in their very surprising finding:<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>A solid majority of the Palestinians (80%-90%) are descendants of the<br \/>\nPeople of Israel, who remained in the country following the destruction<br \/>\nof the Second Jewish Temple. The ancestors of most of the Palestinians<br \/>\nwere forced to convert, mainly to Islam.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>To demonstrate how wide the findings are going into the depth Palestinian society<br \/>\nwe mention here that almost the entire high-level politicians of the PLO,<br \/>\nas well and the majority of Hamas leaders, are of a Jewish origin.<br \/>\nThis includes Mahmud Abbas (Abu Mazen &#8211; a descendant of a family of Rabbis),<br \/>\nthe late Dr. Sa'eb Erikat, Jibril Rajub (Argov), Maruwan Barguti, Nabil Sha'at,<br \/>\nKhanan Ashrawi, from the Fatah movement, the Israeli Khanin Zuabi,<br \/>\nand late sheikh Akhmad Yassin, Ismail Hani'ya, Dr. Mussa Abu Marzuk,<br \/>\nMuhammed Def,\u00a0 Dr. Aziz Duwek (a Cohen), and above all Yikhyeh Sinuar from Hamas.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>To pinpoint to the generic similarities found between Jews and Paletinians,<br \/>\nthe following list provides their various types and the research institures involved:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>1. Blood component groups \u2013 prof. Bat Sheva Tamir Boneh, Tel Aviv university.<br \/>\n2. Sickle Anemia \u2013 prof. Ariella Oppenheim, Hebrew University, Jerusalem<br \/>\n3. Parental linage \u2013 The Y chromosome \u2013 Multiple institutes with prof. Ariela Oppenheim.<br \/>\n4. The immune System \u2013 Compoltensa university, Madrid.<br \/>\n5. Inherited Deafness \u2013 Tel Aviv University<br \/>\n6. The Maternal linage \u2013 Dr. Avshalom Zusman-Diskin<br \/>\n7. The Thay-Zacks disease \u2013 Ikhilov-Surasky medical center, Tel Aviv.<br \/>\n8. Bone marrow transplant \u2013 Hadassah Medical Center, Jerusalem<br \/>\n9. A gene contributing to increased probability for breast cancer \u2013 She'arey Tsedek Hospital, Jerusalem.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">When it becomes clear that the parties to the conflict are really blood-brothers,<br \/>\nbut are not aware of this situation, it makes self-evident that the continuation<br \/>\nof the conflict is a hopeless stupidity and is an outrageous unjust,<br \/>\nthat the only reason for its existence is the ignorance about the<br \/>\nreal identity of the Palestinians. All the above lead to one clear conclusion:<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>To break the deadlock in the Holy Land,<br \/>\na just and lasting solution is required &#8211; by the return of the<br \/>\nmajority of the Palestinians to the people of Israel \u2013<br \/>\nan extremely challenging process of an engagement of peace between<br \/>\nthe Palestinians and the Jews west of the Jordan River.<br \/>\nThis process will form a one state for one people &#8211; The People of Israel,<br \/>\nwithout forcing any religious conversion<\/strong><br \/>\n(as detailed in The Engagement Pamphlet which is referred to later on).<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">What is being proposed here may be on the one hand,<br \/>\nan unprecedented and unbelievable revolution in its immensity,<br \/>\nbut, on the other hand, for the lack of any alternative,<br \/>\nafter the right planning and preparations,<br \/>\nit is going to happen and work successfully.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The above will not, however, complete the required change in the Middle East.<br \/>\nThe stormy present in the Arab world, even after it will settle down<br \/>\nto some extent, is incapable of solving the problems existing there.<br \/>\nThese problems are much deeper than a change of regime or a change of a ruler,<br \/>\nwhich may even worsen the situation.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The important use of the various social networks will not guaranty,<br \/>\nby itself alone, that the contemporary Arab world will desert its negative<br \/>\ncontribution to humanity' by spreading terror, destruction, violence and<br \/>\nthreat to world freedom, done in the pretense\u00a0of the will to renew<br \/>\nthe glory of the Muslim\u00a0Caliphate.<br \/>\nThe use of social networks will not enable, by itself, the Arab world<br \/>\nto bring a positive contribution to humanity, like the Muslim Caliphate<br \/>\nbrought in the period of its glory following its beginning,<br \/>\na contribution that shined above the rest of humanity.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The removal of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict form the regional and world's<br \/>\nagenda, followed by shutting down the flames of hatred against Israel, will enable<br \/>\nthe united people of Israel to resume its historical role as a light to the nations,<br \/>\nand collaborate with the rest of the nations of the region in moving the Middle East<br \/>\nto the future they aspire to.
